8550DT Light Stripe Bleeding?! yellow into black - cyan into magenta?

Tried cleaning - gets a little better but I'm getting color bleed (yellow into black) (cyan into magenta).  Doesn't seem noticable in general printing but when I do the light stripe test or advanced config single page color printout it shows.  When I do basically the purge (8 pages) it will get better and stay fine until the machine is put into standby for a few days.  Any clues - don't want to keep wasting ink.  Low page count only 25K.

When you print the light stripes test page, do you see yellow in all or most of the black jets, or only in a few?

If you see it in all of black, it's possible that some yellow ink debris may have found it's way into the black ink chutes or reservoir, it should go away once the "contaminated" ink is used up, which could take a couple hundred pages.

However, if it's only a few jets, or if you've already run a significant amount of prints and it isn't improving, it will likely need to be serviced.
