8570DN ColorQube problem

In my printer properties I have it set to spool the print jobs and start printing right away.  For some reason that isn't happening.  It seems to be taking forever to spool a job and my program that I'm printing from is held up until the job spools completely and starts printing.  Any ideas anybody??
