Re: A print job sent through the network keeps printing

Hi Wayne,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please turn off the printer then stop and restart the spooler on the PC following these steps:

To perform a Print Spooler Reset:

  1. Open the Start Menu.
  2. Type services.msc into the Search Field and select.

NOTE: This step may require an Administrator password, Contact a System Administrator for assistance.

  3. Scroll down and select the Print Spooler Service.
  4. Right click on the Print Spooler service and select Stop.
  5. Wait for 30 seconds for the service to stop.
  6. Right click on the Print Spooler service and select Start.
  7. Close the Services applet.

Then turn the printer back on and see if that fixes the issue.  If not please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Thanks,

A print job sent through the network keeps printing

Product Name: Phaser 6180MFP
Operating System: Windows 10

This printer is on our home network using an IP port setting.  A PDF document is stuck in the NIC and constantly prints.  Cancelling the job from the printer's menu doesn't correct the problem.

The only way to stop it from printing the same document continuosly is to disconnect the network cable from the printer.

No matter how long I leave it disconnected, when I re-connect it, the job starts to print again.
