Adjusting Image Quality on 4622

Is there a way to modify when a 4622 performs the Adjusting Image Quality, or for how long?  Running into an issue where in a Pull Print environment, users release a batch of jobs on a 4622. The batch contains maybe 20 jobs, each being 1-2 pages. During some point, while their batch of jobs are being printed, the 4622 starts doing the Adjusting Image Quality and pauses for more than 1 min. This 1 min pause causes the print server to stop sending the job, because the 4622 is not responding back to the server's control commands within a 1 min timeout period, resulting in a socket timeout. As a result, the server records a Printer Error for that job and moves on to the remaining set of jobs in the batch, which prints successfully, until the printer again does the Adjusting Image Quality.  The pages all have similar textual content and I can't see that the fuser is overheating requiring some sort of cool down. We're running System 35.011.26.000, not sure if there are any firmware fixes.

Hi jimmyb_nyc,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please make sure that the paper type is set correctly at the computer in the software that you are printing from.  The Adjusting Image Quality message will display when the machine is adjusting the fuser temperature.  The temperature is adjusted depending on the type of paper you have chosen to print on.  If adjusting the paper type does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
