Just update with the driver in the post you just replied to.
I am having the same problems with my Mac on El Capitan printing to a a XEROX 7845. As soon as I delve into the xerox drop down menus for more specific paper settings, In Design crashes as soon as I click on the PRINT button. Won't allo me to drill down to more specifics. I know it's this print driver because it does not crash on another printer we have.
Can you help?
Thanks,
Pete
Finally fixed using the following driver!
Grab them the 3.94 driver form the Xerox FTP (Call for support if you don't have access), or the 3.81.1 driver from Apple, if the driver (3.90) is the issue, then the issue will stop with the update or downgrade.
I can confirm the same exact problem with some differences. My client is running OS 10.10.5 (Yosemite) and is running Adobe Creative Suite. It only crashes in anything Adobe, but not "Preview", "TextEdit", etc.
We cleaned out the driver and readded (/var/db/receipts, library/ppds, etc) using latest driver 3.90.0(1788). We tried changing it to HP Jetdirect Port. We updated Adobe Acrobat to latest (2015.023.20053). No difference. It doesn't crash if you refrain from using "Xerox Features" plugin. There must be something in the driver.
I’m going to need a lot more information than that.
Indesign has had many versions with that issue on each version of OSX.
It has never been a printer at fault as far as I know, it is always Postscript, and it also crashes when exporting to PS in most cases as can be seen:

So if none of these many fixes for your issue apply, I will need to know exactly what version of OSX (There is at this time no such version as 12.12.10, they are firmly in the 10.12 territory) the exact version of Creative Suite, since the issue also has been caused by particular hardware builds of Macbooks, I would need to know that as well. Once I have all that I might be able to find a way to get a Xerox engineer to look into it, but since it is not reproducible here on CS6 or 5.5 or the latest Creative cloud, it seems to be a symptom of the Mac.
HI psjoiner,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please make sure you have the latest firmware loaded on the WorkCentre 7830. If the problem continues after upgrading the firmware you need to contact support for additional assistance.
We are printing to a 7830 from a Mac (macOs 12.2.2) with the latest Xerox print drive (3.90.0).
When printing from Adobe InDesign - we are unable to access all of the Xerox settings, save the settings. After poking around in the settings we can access, the print dialogue crashes.
I am convinced that this is a problem with the print driver. I have the earlier driver (3.81.0) installed on another Mac in the same office, and we don't have any problem printing from that Mac with the same version of Adobe products.
Please help! We have tried everything.
