Hello. I have a Phaser 7300 that is printing out of alignment (see attached).
Would anyone have any ideas? I remember there was a small lens under the cover that I cleaned sometime ago, but that did not seem to help, (maybe I need to clean it better).
Hi all. I am just updating this post to where I am at.
I have attached another image. I am on page
3-101 of the service manual and have cleaned the Registration Sensors (they were clean). The problem still persists.
Step 4 says" Verify the Color Registration Shutter opens and closes by actuating the registration shutter solenoid from service diagnostics."
Ok I figured how to Verify the shutter. When I ran the test I heard a click and the Menue said the sutter was open, and I heard a click when I exited the menu (so I assume the shutter is working.)
Please help as this is a really great printer!
Hi Stephen,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the solutions for Misregistration and see if any of them help with your situation. If not please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
Hi Cheryl. I have tried everything, but no luck. I did notice on my Black imaging unit on the bottom right the small plastic stem is broken (see attached with the non broken unit and the black broken unit). Do you think this could cause my alignment issues?
Hi Stephen,
I am really not trained enough on the machine to say whether or not that broken piece would cause an alignment problem. Have you tried a new Black imaging unit? If a new one fixes the issue then you found the reason. If a new one does not fix the problem then I would suggest having a technician come check the machine.
I am going to order 4 IU and see. I will keep you posted,
Cyan IU was the problem. All fixed!
Excellent!! Glad it is fixed and thanks for letting us know.
