Wish I'd seen this reply a year ago. :-) Printing to the AltaLink C8044, it seems the Global Print Driver works better but still freezes occasionally with Adobe Acrobat.
Rather than troubleshoot why this application is causing the Print Experience to crash; I recommend using a Type 3 print driver which does not require the Print Experience. You can download the Type 3 Global Print Driver at the link below.
Link: Type 3 Global Print Driver x64
Note: Use the platform dropdown found at that link and select 'Windows 10' if you want to get the 32bit version of the driver.
2nd Note: If you're clients are connected to a print server you can't change a V4 print queue to a V3 print queue. You'll have to create a new queue or delete and recreate your current queue name utilizing the V3 driver.
When printing from Windows PC's connected to AltaLink over the network, clicking the "properties" button on print dialog to adjust printer options, the window opens blank and needs to be force closed. Windows event manager is recording each of these crashes claiming that XeroxPrintExperience stopped communicating with Windows. It seems possible to print as expected from other applications.
I've scoured the forums and wider seeing some reports of this but no solutions.
Thanks.
