Re: Always printing with a .5" border on one side

Hello graphickimberly5,

I see no one has responded to this post yet. So, at this point I would recommend contacting your local Xerox Support Department to speak with a Product Specialist for more assistance. Please call 1-800-821-2797.

Thanks,

Always printing with a .5" border on one side

My store has a Xerox WorkCenter 7830

I am very frustrated trying to figure out this printing border issue. I have had specialist come out twice to my store and both times they fixed the callibration which helped for a very short while and it went back to being a problem.

I am trying to print a calendar that will have a front and back, but they are half pages, so two calendars on one regular letter size paper.

However, when I go to print from InDesign or from PDF export, regardless of margins, alignment, etc, it ALWAYS has a .5" on the left hand side. You can see there is a full bleed at the bottom of the page, and the image is being pushed over to the right .5" as well, losing .5" of content on the right hand side. Nearly no border on the right.

When I go to cut down the middle, it will never be aligned since on the flip side there is a .5" border on the left side as well on the other side of the paper (making it the right side when flipped and cut, misaliging it).

I know I will never have an exact mirror on the back, but this is ridiculous. The only work around has been exporting to PDF, not select actual size, but changing to fit, and having a good amount be cut off still when cutting and it's never aligned and straight.

Now what I am doing is printing on a larger paper and manually cutting which is such a waste of paper. Please let me know if there is any settings I can do on my own with the printer or any system settings. I cannot have them come out again to do nothing. Thanks
