Re: Apple Big Sur Won't Accept Driver on Phaser 6180

Hello Bob,

Unfortunately, macOS 10.11 was the last Mac driver we made for the 6180. You could try printing by adding the printer on macOS using the built-in “Generic Postscript PPD”.

If Xerox driver features are really needed, you could try an unsupported work-around in which you install the Xerox macOS Common Print Driver from a closely related product which is supported on Big Sur.  Note that there may be incompatibilities that could cause not all features/functions to work properly.

And lastly, if a specific scan driver or a print driver is not available AirPrint and Scan to Email may be used as a workaround.

Thanks,

Apple Big Sur Won't Accept Driver on Phaser 6180

Product Name: Phaser 6180
Operating System: macOS 11 - Big Sur

Made the mistake of installing Big Sur on my I-Mac (5 years old), now the new system won't let me download the driver.  Any help would be appreciated.  Not crazy about paying for a new prnter.

Thanks
