Using this paper with several different printers: HP Laserjet P1006, HP Laserjet P2050, and Lanier LD425. In all printers there is a noticeable smell almost immediately upon start of print. Users also note a metallic taste in their mouth after a period of time if there are large print jobs being done. The smell does not occur when normal paper is used for printing after the carbonless paper, So it is unlikely there is residue buildup on the fuser/rollers. Is there either a list of printers that are compatible with this paper? Or is there a printer make/model that runs the fuser at a lower than average temp to try and mitigate the generation of the odor
Thank you for using the Customer Support Forum. I can not speak to your exact printers but there may be a setting for paper type you may be able to adjust that to a light weight paper that may change the heat setting as well. Also please take a look at our paper resource center site http://www.xerox.com/printer-supplies/paper-stock/enus.html for information on using the carbonless paper.
