I have not been able to reset the paper selection for tray 1. When it prints it shrinks the print to about 30% putting the image down the middle of the page. I've tried everything I can think of and looked at all of the user information I can find. Somehow I selected 3x5 Card Stock and don't know what I did to get it that way. Please help, Thank you Steve
We had the same problem at our law firm. We print a lot from Microsoft Word and it was hard to select the correct printer tray all the time. We need to select bond/headed and plain etc. and often if the trays were empty it would run the job on the wrong paper wasting paper and toner.
We tried to write macros to solve the poblem but in the end reverted to buying some very inexpensive printer software which was compatible with our Xrox printers. The sofware was called Tray Selector.
I hope that helps.
is this helpfull? your traus must be setup the same, otherwise auto tray would not work :
[Let printer select which tray to print from]: The printer will select the tray that has the same paper size and paper type specified in Document Size and Paper Type menus. If two or more paper trays contain the specified paper size and paper type, the print job will be printed from the paper tray that has the highest priority. If the print job must be printed from a specific tray, select [Force printing from a specific tray].
My Xerox 8560N used to defer to Paper Tray 2 when Paper Tray 1 was empty. It quit doing that after a power outage. I've gone through all the settings and feel I've checked everything but obviously am missing where to reset to default or ensure that the printer will behave this way -- again defer to paper tray 2 when paper tray 1 (MFT) is open but empty.
