I have a WorkCentere 7545 set up and printing well from a Mac. I would like the default print option to be black/white not color. This is an easy setting in Windows but I can't find a black/white option in the Mac driver. Is there some way to change to black/white by default?
you can change it in your cups
on your mac surf to http:\\locahost:631
normally you can change it in the printing defaults in the cups
an other way is to open the .ppd file with an text editor, search for the code where banner = on , make it off , reinstall the printer with that modified .ppd file
Are you using accounting codes with this printer and the Mac?
