How do you override the low toner option that stops the printing?
I am having this issue as well with one of the printers at the campus I work for.
All I can say is what happened in my case. You're on your own I'm afraid - I feel for you.
The printer does not print with a new cartridge in. It continues to give me the same low toner message. The remaining printable page number keep changing from 0 to over 80k but still will not print.
In my case when I replaced the cartridge it started working again. But not until then.
Read the original POST - IT STOPPED WORKING TOTALLY. It SHOULD have kept printing at reduced quality - IT DID NOT.
I am having this issue as well with one of the printers at the campus I work for. We swapped out the toner cartridge and nothing changed. I have searched everywhere for a solution to this problem but have yet to find one.
Have you resolved this issue @NickM? If so how did you resolve it.
You've missed the point.
Why does it TOTALLY STOP when the toner is simply LOW - If it's bad quality, fair enough, but it REALLY SHOULD NOT TOTALLY STOP as soon as the message appears.
Hello NickM,
Here is an article for the low toner message and one on how to reset the toner cartridge. If you are still having issues after trying these steps, I suggest that you call into our support department for assistance @ 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100.
My B230 suddenyl gave a low toner warning and has stopped printing - even at reduced quality (which is fine).
Is there a way to make it ignore the warning (a warning SHOULD NOT STOP it) - and continue printing while I get a new toner cartridge? It was all VERY sudden - NOT a WARNING at all!
