Black Cartridge out of Toner

It would depend on the machine you are using.  You do not mention the model number of your machine so I can not answer directly.  You can search the online support for the model machine you have, search for "black" and see if any of the solutions will help you work around the black cartridge. My machine is telling me I need a new black toner cartridge, which is fine, I have purchased a new cartridge, but the problem is I need to print before it arrives and the last page it printed was flawless.  It am doubting that the toner is completely out, but the machine won't even let me bypass and print one single page.  Is there a way to shut this off so it will print until the new cartridge arrives?
