Black and white report printing for VersaLink C405

For anyone running into this problem still, this is resolved in the newest firmware for these devices. I've confirmed this update resolved this problem on a VersaLink C505. This has been resolved in all firmware XX.21.51 and newer.

I'm not able to download the C405 firmware currently as the website appears to fail at approximately 45MB through the download, was hoping to test this in my office.. but here's the link to the most up to date SPAR as of today:

Thanks January1st!  I did try this today, but the Xerox logo is still printing in color on reports.

Select the System menu, PDL settings, PCL6/5e, change"Output color" to Black and white. Do the same for PDF. Hope that helps!

Same thing with the VersaLink C7020, would like an option to set fax confirmation sheets to print in black and white instead of color.

We do want to continue to see the thumbnail image of the first page that we send, but would like the fax confirmation report to print in black and white.  We don't want the blue Xerox logo and other colored default images/icons in reports to print in color.

SPAR Release VersaLink C405 - PL2-U3

SFR: Eliminate thumbnail on the fax confirmation sheet

             The key codes below provide the ability to turn on/off the fax image that is printed on the fax confirmation sheet.

             The fax image is printed on the confirmation sheet by default. When the “Enablement Key” is applied, the faxed image will be suppressed.

             The “Disablement Key” will restore the default condition, displaying the fax image.

              SFR Key Special Instructions:

              Note: Key codes only apply to C405 MFP version

              To enable the ability to eliminate thumbnail images on the Fax confirmation report use code *3002333081

              To disable the ability to eliminate thumbnail images on the Fax confirmation report use code *3002333080

              1. On the device’s CWIS site select System-> Security->   Feature Enablement

              2. Enter correct enable/disable code (include the * character)

Thanks Cheryl.  I have looked through the Admin guide, support pages, the settings on the device and the embedded web server, and then spoke with a Xerox technician who confirmed that this is not currently possible with this device.  I am hoping that this functionality will be added in a future software update.

We would like to have the ability to set reports and fax confirmation sheets to print in black and white instead of color, so that color toner is not needlessly used.  This is not currently an option for the VersaLink C405.
