How about printing from another windows version .... have you tried ?
That is an interesting find. I tried that suggestion and it did get me closer, now I actually see something on the page but the image is "chopped" as shown below:
Hi,
That's a very interesting case here. I found something interesting that might solve the issue.
"I believe it is a problem with the "photowiz.dll" file in system32.
It is version 6.x.xxxx.xxxx.
I found an older version of this file, had to change the attributes and permissions of the file to allow it to be changed.
I renamed it with an "dlx" extension and then copied a version 5.1 photowiz.dll to system32 and the print wizard works again!"
My company has recently procured several Xerox MFPs. We have four 7830s, two 7855s and four 6655s. We are able to print from most Windows applications (MS Office, PDF, etc) without issue, however we are experiencing trouble when trying to print images using Windows Photo Viewer. The resulting printout is just a blank page.
Our employees are using Win7 x64 SP1 with latest Windows Updates applied. Our network printers are configured through a Windows 2008 R2 print server which shares these printers to the PCs on the network.
Here are the various drivers we are using (as shown from MMC > Print Management on the print server):
I have also tried downloading the latest GPD (X-GPD_5.404.8.0_PCL6_x64.exe) and creating a new local printer on one of the systems experiencing this trouble in an attempt to both 1) try a different driver and 2) remove the print server from the equation, however the result when printing to this new printer is the same - a blank page.
When we print the same image using the same application to a non-Xerox printer, the print operations succeeds. We've also tried opening the image and printing it using different programs (MS Paint & Internet Explorer) and they print successfully, however since Windows Photo Viewer is the default application for image files on Win7, we need it to be able to print.
Our 7800 series machines are running firmware 072.110.134.32801.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
