The tray 5 message is irrelevant unless the printer is asking for it to be loaded after the print job leaves the mac and shows up in the Job status screen on the printer.
current print driver is also irrelevant, because the Current Xerox driver is not the same as the current macOS apple driver, and also isn't the same as the current Airprint driver that apple uses as default. You need to go buy the actual driver version.
Which as of this moment, is:
If you are using that driver, and the printer is stating to load exactly what is in the tray, supply a screenshot of it doing so, and a screen shot of what the copy screen says is loaded in tray 5.
My Macbook pro is currently connected to a Workcenter 7830 with the current print driver installed. I have no problems printing standard size documents from trays 1-4.
However, when I attempt to print to the bypass tray, the printer always reports that media is missing–even when it is loaded and the paper type has been specified on the printer itself. I have attempted to print the exact same document from my colleague's PC, and it printed with no issue. This leads me to believe that I have some error in how I have set up the document–but for the life of me I cannot see where the issue is. Paper type and tray are correct in the printer dialogue before sending... has anyone experienced this issue before?
