Re: Bypass tray not printing w/o screen input--and cant be transfwerred to main tray

Hello hammarlund,

Sounds like you have tried everything already, so it would be a hardware escalation: 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100

Bypass tray not printing w/o screen input--and cant be transfwerred to main tray

Product Name: VersaLink B600/B610 Printer
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

I am trying to make it so when I put any paper in the bypass tray and just send a print job, the printer will

a) automatically assume bypass tray is 8.5x11

b) automatically draw from the bypass tray and print WITHOUT manual screen input

c) If the bypass runs out of paper, allow me to tap something and send the job to tray 1/2/whatever.

I have the tray set to TRAY MODE=BYPASS;  AUTO SELECT=ON; PRIORITY=4

None of this is working.

I put a sheet of letterhead in bypass.  I print page 1 (so the job should go to bypass.) Then I print pages 2-10 (so it should go to the normal tray.)

When I get to the printer, it makes me manually acknowledge that the paper in bypass is the right size (I do.) But then, since it received the second job while it was paused, it also assumes THAT job should go to bypass (which it shouldn't.) And to my annoyance, my only options are "insert paper in bypass" or "cancel job."  Surely Xerox didn't omit the crucial "send to tray X" option...?
