Leave the bypass tray empty, but apply the same stock settings to a different tray, and fill the desired tray with the paper you want. So both the bypass tray and the other tray will have the same stock settings, but there will only be stock in the tray you want to use. I have to do this all the time with igen5 when i'm getting feeder faults. You're just kind of tricking the machine.
Hello dwmarchant,
The first thing to check is to make sure the paper in the tray matches EXACTLY to the paper in the print menu. Size, type, and orientation need to match EXACTLY. Then if that is good, you can modify the paper tray settings and set up a dedicated tray and either turn on or off the Auto Select...
On occasion, I have a job sent to the printer where, for whatever reason, the print tray is incorrect. Typically, the tray is set to "Bypass", and should be "Tray 1". The printer holds the job because the bypass tray is not in use. I don't want to use the bypass tray, as the software that does this is, generally, printing hundreds of pages in one job.
Rather than deleting the job and resending, is there any way on a C405 of changing the specified print tray for a held job?
