i had same problem with my Phaser 6125. I resolved it by going into the service mode (holding up and down) arrows while powering up the printer, may be different of course for your printer model) and then there is somewhere a maintenance  option to run the black toner motor (or other color). That worked for me.

Where to go for support will depend on your region, where you purchased the product, and if you have purchased a contract from Xerox or an authorized reseller/dealer.

Hopefully, someone will email you back shortly.

Hi, it does the same when copying.

How do I arranage a service call? I was talking to the support chat, I've sent over proof of purchase I am now waiting for a response from Technical.Support.elg@xerox.com

Hi Alex, does it copy fine but print light or do your copies come out light too? 

If it's just printing light, check the printer settings to make sure that you don't have the printer in Draft Mode. Depending on the driver it could be Draft Mode or Toner Saver mode. 

This should be on the main driver properties page look toward the bottom right hand side of the driver for a leaf. This will be the Earth smart settings which is where you will find Draft Mode. 

If the device makes light copies too, you may need to place a service call.

C405 faint black ink

Product Name: VersaLink C405 Color Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows 10

Hi,

We are having trouble with our Versalink C405 - it is printing very very faintly with black. 

All other colours are OK.

I've just replaced the black toner cartridge with a new genuine Xerox one.

I have cleaned the CTD sensor as best I can.

Neither of these seems to have had any impact.

Is there something else to clean / replace ?
