Word doesn't do Print ready files and a printer only understands print ready formats.

You can't use a print driver from a USB stick, so there is no way to use files that are not print ready. Word files need to be saved as pdf or printed from the PC/Mac/Phone

C60 and 5875 not showing Word documents available to print via USB, only PDF files

When printing from a USB drive, our C60 and 5875 machines only show the PDF files on the USB, Word documents are not showing as available to print.

 

Is there a setting that will allow Word documents to be recognized and allow printing from USB?
