Re: C7030 Bypass tray: Long Edge Feed and Short Edge Feed

Bumping this so perhaps some new eyes can take a look...I have the latest C7030 driver installed and I can't find any settings to control whether the printer uses LEF or SEF from the bypass tray.  At the printer control panel, there are clearly paper types for 8.5x11 LEF and 8.5x11 SEF, but the printer seems to decide on its own based on media type (i.e. plain paper, labels) whether the media should be SEF or LEF from the bypass tray.  Calling the phone number suggested below leads nowhere if the copier isn't under a maintenance contract.

Thanks!

Re: C7030 Bypass tray: Long Edge Feed and Short Edge Feed

Hello jhuber,

This setting should be in the printing preferences of the drivers, if it's missing I suggest calling into the support department @ 1-800-821-2797 to speak with an software analyst to make sure your using the correct driver.

Thanks,

C7030 Bypass tray: Long Edge Feed and Short Edge Feed

Product Name: VersaLink C7020/C7025/C7030 Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows 10

How does the print driver decide if a document printed from the bypass tray is printed Long Edge Feed (LEF) or Short Edge Feed (SEF)?  There doesn't seem to be a setting in the Windows 10 driver to select this.

Normally, If I print to the bypass tray, the C7030 asks for SEF.  In Word, I've set up a page of Avery 5167 labels, and when I print those to the bypass tray, the C7030 asks for the labels in the bypass tray to be LEF.

Why does the C7030 asks for the labels LEF?  The 5167 label sheet has very small labels that need precise placement.  I actually get better placement if the label sheet is fed through SEF (if I print it as "Plain" type), but then the sheet goes through very fast.

Also, the little diagram on the bypass tray shows that envelopes with the flap on the long edge should be fed LEF, and evelopes with the flap on the short edge should be fed SEF, but how does one tell the driver to do that?

Thanks!

Thanks!
