The Auto tray settings inside of MS Word/MS Office do not account for the bypass tray in Xerox devices. Choose the tray and size here as well as in the driver when these things occur.

C75 not picking up from bypass tray (tray 5)

Hi Everyone,

 

We recently ran across an issue that appears to only happen when trying to print from a Microsoft Word document. The below described issue was "resolved" with a workaround by just printing in an Adobe file (PDF, Photoshop, AI, etc)

 

We wanted to print labels on the Avery self-stick adhesive lables by using the bypass try on the C75 Press. Once set up in the Fiery driver with all of the correct settings (media weight, type, paper source) and sent to the printer, we would get an error message saying to "Load tray 1 with 8.5"x11" LEF 106-128 GPM paper". We specifically set the Fiery driver to print from tray 5, set media type to "labels", and set weight to 106-128. Finally after trying many different combinations, we tried printing from a PDF file and the bypass tray picked up the label sheet and printed correctly.

 

Any ideas why Word won't work with the bypass tray?
