Hi All,
Yesterday i took the time to check this out. It seems that my CXP3535(non-e-version) harddisk boots up wonderfully on the CPX3535e, but you need to manually install all the drivers of the P4SCE montherboard via the link: http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/P4/E7210/P4SCE.cfm
also one must install the Adaptec drivers for the SATA controller card, which is needed for the second required harddrive the Creo needs. Once done i needed to empty the imaging disk (this is the second drive, also you need to remove any partitions on it and convert the drive to a Basic disk), then reboot the Creo and let it recreate the imaging disk. Note: then reboot and reformat the drive (i needed to do this at least before the DC3535 would print any testpage).
also for anyone's info: yes you can print from windows and mavericks without any issues BUT only indirectly:
1. on the Creo Rip, create a resource printer (read virtual printer) so you get a Hot Folder you can drag your printfile (Postscript, pdf) to and this will magically print it without too much hassle
2. you need to install the PPD-file from the Creo on your computer to maximize the compatibility/features
Also i can swap from the Fiery EX3535 to a CPX3535e without any issues, so it seems the DC3535 is compatible with both RIPs and don't need any adjustments (at least not in my testing/case)
Another info that could be helpful: both RIP behave fairly the same as far as print quality is concerned. The CREO however has far more options/possibilities and is way more intuitive comparing to the EX3535 (which doesn't have any Hotfolders as the Fiery engine's version is too old and won't support Fierys Hotfolders).
Thus: case closed :-)
Hope this is helpful to anyone working with an EX3535, CXP3535, CXP3535e or a plain DC3535.

Hi again!
The hardware differences or the software differences?
If its the software differences it's the same according to the xerox page.

Hi all,
I just got my hand on a cxp3535e, which resembles a cxp3535 but has SATA connectors (amongst other differences). I have the (Windows 2000) installation disks of the CXP3535, but i was wondering if these are the same for the CXP3535E (which i think will be different from the cxp3535, since the harddiskcontroller is really different)?
Also, did anyone got windows XP installed with the Creo Soft running on such a machine? I would love to get my hands on any installation image/disks (Windows XP???) for this one...
Thank you loads for any help regarding this. Just PM me should you prefer it.
Greetings from Belgium,
T.
