Re: Can't add a queue from xeroxofficeprtmgr GUI on Linux

We have ended-up with the following custom PPD file:

https://pastebin.com/7xipPtJx

In the section Generic Accounting, you have to define users (replace User1 and user1) :

*JCLAccounting XSAUserUser1/user1: "@PJL COMMENT OID_ATT_ACCOUNTING_INFORMATION_AVP <22>XRX_USERID,user1<22>;<0A>"

Then installing the PPD with cups and select user in the default configuration

Re: Can't add a queue from xeroxofficeprtmgr GUI on Linux

Hello fabienhespul,

I can't find anything on our Support page about this. I would recommend contacting support and speaking to a 2nd Level Specialist: 1-800-821-2797

Thanks,

Can't add a queue from xeroxofficeprtmgr GUI on Linux

Product Name: AltaLink C8130 / C8135 / C8145 / C8155 / C8170 Color Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Linux

I run the `xeroxofficeprtmgr` binary with this command :

sudo xeroxofficeprtmgr -nd

I can see the GUI. I try to add the printer with the following parameters :

queue name: xerox_c8170
printer model: Xerox Office Standard Driver (only choice)
connection type: TCP/IP (Workstation to Printer)
IP: 172.16.xxx.xxx

When Clicking OK, nothing happen, the popup stay in place and no queue is added.

I can see this error in the `/tmp/XeroxOfficeprtmgr.log` file

11:27:39 - ERROR/OSInterface: Failed to open config file
11:27:39 - ERROR/Prtmgr: Unable to get OS Interface to check queue name

I've no idea what to do with this error.
