Tried Smart Start. and it can't find the printer and it asks for ID or Host name, neither of which show up in the Configuration pages. The PS still shows up in the control panel and as a printer option in the applications. I get a message that it was sent to the printer, but nothing prints and an error shows up in the queue. BTW, I'm connected by USB, if that matters? I'm able to print out the configurations page from theprinter's screen, so I don't think it's a printing issue
Since you're on Windows 11, I would try running the Xerox Smart Start application. That will match the best possible print driver for your Xerox device. Within that application, you can install both PCL6 and PostScript drivers. Hopefully one of those will work for you.
bye for now.
I've downloaded the latest drivers for my new PC I am trying to install the 6500 on. One is for PS and one is for PCL. PS installs, and shows in my printers, but when I print it doesn't print. The job stays in the queue as an error, but I don't know how to check the queue. I think I remember having a problem with PS when I last installed it, and I had to use the PCL drivers. The .exe file runs to completion, but the printer doesn't show up anywhere on the system.
