Re: Can't print from Windows PC to WorkcCentre 6515DN

Finally got it working by installing a different printer driver:
Phaser_6510_5.658.3.0_PS_x64.zip

So that is for the Phaser 6510 which I assume is the printer inside the 6515.

I found this by inserting the CD which came with printer and choosing "Alternative Drivers"

Hope this helps someone else

Thank you, Gabi.

I get a ping response:
Reply from 192.168.0.20: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
OK

The port is listed as "Standard TCP/IP Port"

I changed RAW to LPR, named the queue lp and made sure those boxes were clear.

Unfortunately it is still stuck.

What next, please?

Best wishes

Adrian

Hi,

First try to see if you have a ping response from the printer, I suppose the printer have a static IP

Most of the issues with non printing jobs and „Offline” messages are from driver settings.

First check to see if  there is no job in the print queue (delete any job if exist).

Check the port to be on TCP/IP and not WSD. MS convert the port to WSD. If it is so, click right on the print driver and click on „Printer Properties”, click on „Ports” tab, click on „Add port”, select „Standard TCP/IP port” , click on „New port” and set an IP and in the next window click „Finish”.

After that click again on ''Ports'' tab click on "Configure port" and change from  RAW to LPR, at the Queue name write "lp" and be sure to unchecked "LPR Byte Counting Enable" and "SNMP Status Enabled".

Can't print from Windows PC to WorkcCentre 6515DN

Jump to solution
Product Name: WorkCentre 6515
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

I have just bought a Workcentre 6515 and set it up.  When I print from any application on the Windows 10 x64 PC the job goes into the windows queue and stays there.  Up to about 90KB gets sent from the queue but it just keeps trying and trying.   The job does not appear in the printer jobs at all.

I am able to print from a ChromeBook and copy works so the printer appears to be working, but not accepting the job from the PC.

Both the PC and the WorkCentre are hardwired, the Chromebook is on WiFi.

The Drivers were downloaded from Xerox yesterday and so are the latest available and the PC operating system is up to date.

Any ideas welcome please.

Best wishes

Adrian
