Hi NickSloan,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. I will escalate your concern but you can call support and request to have a FER (feature enhancement request) created. A FER is the way to get your input directly to the engineers. Please consider contacting your support centre to create the FER.
Would I be right in thinking that the only way to cancel a print job once the printer (VersaLink C600) has received it is to choose Jobs on the control panel, select the current job and stop it there?
Mistakes happen, and sometimes you will set off a multi-page print job only to realise that you forgot to update the file or made a wrong choice in the print dialogue. With a super-fast printer it is more than ever important to be able to cancel quickly.
Traditionally, printers have had dedicated Cancel buttons, but the VersaLink's app-based control panel does not. It does provide a very nice interface for changing settings, but could I suggest that one useful addition would be an (optional) app that acts as an instant cancel of the current job?
Obviously this might be of little use to those in shared networks, but for individual setups it would be a great resource saver.
