Cannot print from printer 7556 on Windows 10 machine

Hi Everyone,

 

I've installed the global print driver on a PC running windows 10. During the installation, it finds the printer on the network.

 

When finishing installation, I cannot print a test page... it simply adds to the queue visible on the local computer, and doesn't say anything under "status". On the printer itself, it does not get woken from sleep mode, and if I do manually, I don't see the print in the "job status" area.

 

One thing I should mention is that it asks for an account ID before printing the test page, which I enter. I didn't setup the accounting yet, so I assume that is a setting it got from when I had done a previous installation of a Xerox driver. (Can more than one be installed at a time?)

 

Anyway, I'm unsure how to solve this so that my co-worker can print. Other computers in my office are not having an issue.

Don't let it find the printer, instead, choose The printer I want wasn't listed.

Then do a full manual install, and make certain you don't allow the Query printer option to be checked, because if you do, it won't choose the GPD, it will use a Windows Class driver.

Also, set it to a Standard TCP/IP port.
