Re: Cannot print multiple copies from Phaser 6180 attached to print server (windows server 2012 r2)

Ok, I just tried installing the windows 7 x64 global print driver on a workstation and it still does not work correctly. Only one page prints even if multiple copies are selected. So I'm bypassing the new server 2012 r2 altogether.

So It looks like I'm just going to use the server 2008 r2 driver or I would have to make sure all of my users change the settings from collated to uncollated to get multiple copies to print.

Re: Cannot print multiple copies from Phaser 6180 attached to print server (windows server 2012 r2)

First off I am not using the MFP printer.Just a networked 6180.

My bad, sorry.

The driver was only installed on the server side. Then the clients add the printer and the driver is installed from the server.

I had assumed you had done some troubleshooting before posting, If you want someone from Xerox to fix the issue you would need to call them and pay them to figure out the issue on site. Xerox Support does not monitor these forums, they are peer-to-peer.

The only driver installed on the server is the global driver for the 2012 r2 server.

So installing a native driver from 2008 x64 would be a great troubleshooting step to see if the Global driver is the cause or the printer itself is.

The single copy thing seems to be happening on all printing no matter what app.

So all that is left is to try a local driver to take the Server 2012 out of the equation since the previous would have eliminated the driver itself.

ok, so now I just installed the old driver that I was using on my old server (2008 r2) and it's working fine with server 2012 r2. But the driver isnt even listed as compatable with that OS. Not sure what to do. Maybe just leave things alone.

Re: Cannot print multiple copies from Phaser 6180 attached to print server (windows server 2012 r2)

Are you saying that while Server 2012 works fine, the clients (Win 7) don't and that the only time it fails is using Word?

If that is the case, I would say the application isn't updating through the local driver to the Server driver and sending to the printer at all or in time. To resolve the speed you would need to make some connection changes, then reboot at the very least, but preferably reinstall the driver client side, the changes would be as such:

Make sure the fields highlighted in my screenshots are exact to your server.

I haven't tried the global driver in that setup, but I am currently running the same setup with the 6180 Native driver without the issue.

This one specifically

Cannot print multiple copies from Phaser 6180 attached to print server (windows server 2012 r2)

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I just installed a new print server with windows server 2012 r2 and I cannot print multiple copies from our 64bit windows 7 workstations. I have tried the PCL5 and PCL6 global drivers. The only solution that I can come up with is with the uncollated setting. I am trying to print from word 2010. Is there a better solution?

The printer worked fine with windows server 2008 r2
