Change the portocol used by the Macs, the issue will be Bonjour/Appletalk/IPP related since the Macs don't do it but Windows (RAW/LPR)
So on the Mac, reinstall using LPD or HP jetdirect
Put in the right IP, give it a name, and choose the proper ppd for the USE part (screenshot from another post so the USE section is not what you should have)
Progress: I have two routers in my house that broadcast wifi networks with identical names but on different channels. This allows me to walk from one end of the house and maintain wifi coverage without having to manually switch networks. I had been trying to wirelessly set up the printer from the wifi network broadcast by the *other* router. Once I tried wifi setup on the same network, I was fine.
I still cannot print from one network to another like I can with my PCs. I don't know if that's possible, but I'll keep messing with it.
I'm having difficulty printing to our Phaser 6180DN over our network. It's showing up on my MacBook (running El Capitan 10.11.5, though I'll be updating the OS soon) after I installed the drivers/software I downloaded from Xerox, and even shows us toner levels, etc. in the printer's settings dialog box. However, as soon as I try to print something, the job says "Printing - The printer is not responding" in the print queue. Anyone have any ideas what I should be doing differently?
Thanks,
Joe
