I also have a problem with the Catalina driver for the Xerox B215 multifunction printer which I just bought: I can't scan at maximum resolution (1200*1200) from any of my macs running Catalina OS, and scanning at 600*600 (maximum allowed res) produces only "less than average" quality images.
Anyone else having this problem? How to solve it?
Thanks
I tried to connet to link "B215" because I have troubles to download the relevant printer drivers for MacOS Catalina system (10.15.5). I couldn't download the driver files because it is not possible to do it: it seems that the file is corrupted.
Can you check it and save a downloadable file? Thank you.
Hi Andy,
Did you follow the steps in the work around I attached above?
Hello there Cathy
I am getting the
“Printer Driver.pkg” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.
I am running Macos 10.15.4 (19E287) with the latest updates
I have a B215 Multifunction printer
Thanks
Andy
Thank you for your help! I managed to get it to work with the work-around.
Many thanks,
Emma
Hello there,
I spoke with the driver team and they did some investigation and there is a problem with the driver. They are working to get it updated, however, they have created a work around that should get you working. You can find those steps at the bottom of this reply in the attachment.
For the B215 printer on Mac OS Catalina Xerox provide a driver dated Decembe r2019. However this driver is unable to be opened by Mac operating system as it says it is unable to verify that it is not malicious software. My understanding is that this arises because this software has not been "notarized" by Apple. Please can you advise when you expect to have this software notarized by Apple so that it works in Mac Catalina. Thank you
