Re: Centreware web how to schedule a restart of printers

Hi,

Unfortunately the script they mention doesn't work as is based on accessing via HTTP not HTTPS..  There has to be an easier way to schedule restarts.  Xerox devices particularly the 8900 slows up significantly after 2-3 days use so even if there is any way to schedule just this device but also for 7435,7755, 7800 & 7535 would improve performance if rebooted at least once a week but after hours to reduce the impact on users?

Many thanks

Leigh.

Re: Centreware web how to schedule a restart of printers

Hey you!

You could write a script and schedule the script to run on ur server ones a week :)

HERE's a thread where some other xerox users did use a powershell script.

Hope that helps!

Best Regards

Centreware web how to schedule a restart of printers

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hi, Can anybody tell me if I can create a schedule for rebooting printers in Centrewareweb?

I've managed to create a configuration task with the reset printer option enabled but it only seems to want to run when a configuration set has been created so a pending change is required, otherwise it doesn't reset/restart the device?

I have to do this as we have old 7435 devices and 8900 that need to be rebooted every 7 days or else they become very slow.  Or is there something on the printers Centreware web console that would allow me to do this I can't find anything?

Many thanks in advance :smileyhappy:
