Change DPI on WorkCentre 5845

It can't be changed for print, only scan/fax. The hardware and toner don't allow it.

We are having issues printing from WIndows 2012 RDS to a workscentre 5845.  

The vendor is saying that we need to change the default print resolution to 300 DPI  or less.  

I do not see anywhere in the printer admin page nor driver settings where i can change this.

The only option i see is print quality, which has the options Toner Saver, Standard and High-Resolution, with Toner Saver being the default.

Is it possible to change the print resoultion on the 5845 to 300 DPI or less, and if so, how do we do this?

I've checked the manual and search the forums and havent found an answer.
