Hi, is this thread still live? I am having the same trouble with a recently installed Phaser6510. Works fine with my wife's Mac but on my Windows 10 laptop it prints reams of blank pages, and others with some print on sasying:
ERROR: syntaxerror
OFFENDING COMMAND: & .@ etc
OPERAND STACK:29
I ttried reinstalling which helped the first time but not the second. The instructions above don't help because I don't know what addresses to put in the IP or Gateway addresses and I have no idea what a network mask is.
I am connecting via USB, by the way
https://www.support.xerox.com/support/phaser-6510/support/enus.html
Gives the following
I have the same error problem with a Phaser 6510. Printing to it only through wireless; no available wired port in the vicinity.
However, my "admin" password does NOT have the ADMIN MENU outlined below.
Please advise ASAP. Thank you.
The printer is looking for a dhcp server by default for the net message so
Log on as admin (admin/1111) and go to
Menu > Admin Menu > Network Port > TCP/IP Settings > Ethernet > Get IP Address > Static > IP Address
Since you don't have it on the network, the settings don't matter beyond needing to look real, so 10.10.10.10 can be the IP and the gateway can be 10.10.10.1.
255.255.255.0 would be fine for the subnet mask
Sounds like a corrupt print driver for your blank pages/gibberish. Try reinstalling.
Program your lables as lables for the media type so it can use correct transfer bias and time to cook in the fuser for propper Image Quality. If that doesn't work post a picture of what it looks like.
Having 3 issues...
I just purchased the Xerox Phaser 6510. On the display it says Ready "Check Primary Net." I'm plugged into the computer by USB. Should I unplug?
Second issue...
Whenever I hit print, it just keeps printing blank pages . One or two come out with a bunch of numbers or a message that says "ERROR: undefined OFFENDING COMMAND: - oPERAND sTACK: -3.84 -1.12. I have no clue what this is. Did I install properly?
And last - I'm printing on labels for laser printers and sometimes the black comes out with patches of white. Not sure what this is about.
HELP!
Thanks so much!
