Hi Kikketer,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. I am sorry you are having this frustrating issue. Please take a look at the solution for cleaning the Print Cartridge. I hope you can find a resolution through the solution.
I'm running into a similar issue with my printer as well. I had to replace all the colors because they all ran out nearly the same time. I used nothing but Xerox brand but I'm now seeing blotches of color all over any printed page.
I'm looking for a way to clean the thing but every Xerox forum I go to says "get a tech", which is unreasonable for a printer honestly only had to go through one ink change. What happened to building quality products? I guess I paid a crap ton of money when I should have just purchased a POS HP printer and thrown it away whenever it acted up.
Thanks Jordan, but it's long out of warranty, and from past experience it'll be more expensive to get an engineer out than to simply buy a replacement printer ... which is why I was posting on here in case anybody had any ideas of where to try cleaning.

juwlz,
It sounds like an issue is with a sensor being covered or stuck. I would contact your local support center to have a technician clean the machine for you and make sure its in working order.
To answer your question on what to clean the rollers with - I would recommend alcohol pad or Windex. They do make a rubber restorer also...
Thank you,
Jordan

We have a 6280 colour printer which we're very pleased with.
However, we have made the mistake of using a third party toner cartridge (yellow) which has deposited yellow toner everywhere since it was installed yesterday, resulting in a permanent "paper jam" message (presumably because the rollers can't get a grip on the paper any more).
I've removed the cartridge and cleaned up as best I can using dry paper towels and a vacuum cleaner (with straw nozzle adapter to get at the fiddly nooks and crannies), but still no joy. We'd already decided that we weren't going to buy any more 3rd party toner cartridges before this happened (we kept getting streaks etc. on the printout), but weren't expecting THIS much trouble from them.
Anyway, that aside, can anybody suggest a way to clean up the rollers in the tray etc (and where else to look) to get our printer working again?
Thanks
