thank you for the reply, see the spec from the xerox website and doesn't say anything about the cartirges are to fit on rented ColorCube 8570 or sold ColorCube 8570, this is what i refered when i ordered the cartriges. that means there are two types of cartridges for the same model printer depending on the way it was aquired from Xerox or distributors? Shouldn't suppliers know or ask the customer how they acquired the machine? so that they can sell the right type of cartridge?

yes, xerox has 2 types of machines, one for sold and one for contract
there is no way to change that...
Why would Xerox come up with 2 types of ink cartridges for the same printer model. 8570 CQ. I bought 10 of these printers from one supplier and for cost reason the supplies were bought from another supplier, the specification given was "ink cartridges for color cube 8570DN" what I received is 15 boxes of each color containing 2 sticks, 4 sticks for the black one. And found that none of them fit in the printer, a close look at the cartridges I confirmed that they have different shape than the ones that came with the printer. But all the boxes bear the printer model correctly. And also a part no is printed on the boxes, which is a different no than the printer displayed to me to be fed.
What this means is that Xerox has two or more types of ink cartridges for same model printer, why the models don't be given different names then if they are to take different cartridges, all my investment on purchasing the printer is lost, the supplier is not willing to change the cartridges with the right ones.
Any idea how I can solve this problem.
thanks
