Hello everyone,

Sorry it took so long for me to reply, but it was in fact a drum issue.

Thank you for all your help!

Hard to say without seeing a sample. If you have one please attach it. It could be a developer housing or a drum.

Print the attached. If all colors are affected it could be the fuser.(Best to import the job if possible to eliminate any color issues ala "Let Adobe Acrobat Choose color" or the like)

If one color is affected it is almost certainly the drum that corresponds to that color.

The drums are interchangable, so to be certain , if Cyan is the only one affected in the test, swap the Cyan and Magenta, or yellow, if the drum is in fact the issue, the defect will move to that color (It helps to make 20 or more impressions)

To test Black you just lift the lid (ADF) and make a copy of nothing in BW (will make a solid black on whatever paper you choose)

Color Print is Faded on both Vertical sides and Middle

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Good afternoon,

My name is Candace. I use a Xerox 700i Digital Color Press. I need to print 2000 business cards for a client but I'm experiencing an issue when printing the blue for the front side.

Looking at the print head on, the blue appears faded on the left side the most, gets darker, then lightens again in the middle of the print, dark again, and then slightly faded on the right side.

I have the temperature at about 22 degrees Celsius with a humidity of 44%, and still experience this problem, even after changing the colors in the AI file.

My fuser assembly is due to be reordered, but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

What's going on?
