Re: Color registration issue

Hi,

Color registration setup is an automatic process, you cannot adjust manually color registration (anyway check the NVM list from tray 1). So, perform several times DC671, DC673, DC675, DC956 and if the issue is still present it means there is a hardware problem: a defective 2nd BTR, failure of Backup Roll, dirty fuser encoder sensor, dirty MOB sensor or Laser windows. Also check next NVM's:

Re: Color registration issue

Thank you so much for your reply. I got into the diagnostics and saw all the diagnostic routines for the registration which I ran, and the results showed "NG" on several of them. However I cannot figure out a way to actually adjust the values. I do not have a service doc for the 2100 on my PWS so I am at a loss here. Can you point me in the right direction as to how to adjust the values? I believe I only need to adjust the black.

Re: Color registration issue

Hi,

The fuser encoder sensor is located under the fuser cover.

Also there is color registration setup, but is under the Diagnostic Mode available just for engineer.

Re: Color registration issue

So there is no color registration adjustment on the 2100?

Re: Color registration issue

Hi,

It is possible to have a hardware issue (dirty fuser encoder sensor, an IBT issue...).
