Does anyone have instrucftions for removing the printhead on this model (ColorQube 8570)?
I cannot find instructions for removing the printhead from this printer. I found one that is close (Phaser 8400, 8500, etc.) and it got me to the printhead, but I cannot remove it. Something is catching on it that I cannot see. I did notice that one end of the axle doesn't come all the way out of its slot on the motor side andit won't move sideways enough to get it out. Is that the holdup? Also, the roll block has been removed, so that isn't preventing it from moving sideways.
Thanks for steering me in the right direction and I appreciate the help.
Take out the print head.
Resolve any obstructions in/on/near the print head
Replace print head if necessary
You will likely find solid ink ruined something, you cannot in any way move a solid ink printer when it is warm (liquid ink goes where it should not), which is usually the cause of a tilt fault. When it is cooled for 30 minutes (unplugged) it is safe to move
How does one fix a tilt head fault on a ColorQube 8570?
It's a printhead tilt fault
The 8547 isn't important, it is the page count the machine had printed when the fault occured, so eliminate it when you do a search.
We could use some help with this one. When the printer is turned on it takes a long time for a self-test, then restarts a few times and then finally settling in with the error code 91720.00:8547.
I did a search on the error code in these forums and it came up with 97 pages on similar errors. I did not go through all of them, but the first couple of pages did not have the :8547" eoor
This printer has been working fine since last January. Any suggestions or a link to a list of error codes for this printer wiould be appreciated.
Thanks
