Thank you for your post, I reset the tray settings and it worked!
we ended up doing a factory reset in order to get the 8570 to print on both sides again, this was after check and adjusting via the printers web page and also testing from two other computers on the network. in the end the factory reset fixed it.
Thank you for this excellent link! We replaced computers and for some reason this option became greyed out in the printer control.under Devices and Printers. Your link saved the day!
I have found that this occurs if users print from the fold out tray (in my case they are printing labels). After printing from tray 2 the printer will ignore all double sided printing requests. If you go to paper try setup on the printer and reset the paper tray setup it will again print double sided.
Here is the KB article that walks you through all the things to check if it doesn’t duplex. The 8570DN doesn’t have a separate paper path for duplexing so if it can print, it should be able to duplex.

Thank you for using the Support Forum.
I would suggest calling support for assistance. I will continue to research to see if I can find anything that you can use.
We have have a ColorQube 8570DN printer at our workplace for a few months and it has been working fine until all of a sudden it stopped printing double-sided. When the double-sided option is selected it prints 2 single-sided sheets. We have re-loaded the firmware and updated printer drivers with no success. Any suggestions?
Thanks
