Re: ColorQube 8700 Error Code 92-572-00

It is usually the drum maintenance cam shaft. One of the cams may be cracked and slipping on the shaft. It is hard to see unless you take it out of the machine. Next most common cause is the process drive unit. You can try retiming it.

Re: ColorQube 8700 Error Code 92-572-00

It really isn't a user fixable item, and is very generic so any number of things can cause it.

Think of it like a car, you get a check engine light, you read the OBDII code and find "Misfire cylinder 3"

That could be because the cylinder 3 has 0 compression, the spark plug is bad, the wire to the plug is bad/unplugged, the ignition coil is bad etc etc.

This is a very similar event. Except the terminology is (parts are possibly)

Electronics module > PL5.1 item 1 > Wiring harness > Right side electronics module  Left side electronics module > Top side electronics module

Yeah, I didn't name the parts ;-)

ColorQube 8700 Error Code 92-572-00

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Asking out of curiosity... I can see that when i search for error code 92-572 it says "Electronics Error" but seems a little vague.

The reason i ask is that two of the ColorQube 8700's that we have both at one time or another thrown this error. Both machine issues were resolved by restarting. One of them now has thrown the code again but wont go away and is requiring service call.

What exactly does it mean when it says "Electronics Error"... sensor? Moving part like a gear or belt slipping causing timing issues? faulty main board?

Just wanted to know for my own sanity more than anything.
