Thank you all for using the forum.
I recommend trying one of these solutions for this issue.

There have also been hardware problems recorded for this symptom so If you continue to have issues I would recommend that you contact support using this link:
Hi,
We are also having the same issue, and i followed you suggestion, but unfortunatly it didnt work. Since the initial error of the printer job sitting in the "processing" state, is now wont accept any print Jobs. the Printer drive has the Status " Pause" beside it. Everything network related is working fine. The Scan to netwrok works, web GIU etc. Anybody any thoughts on that one?
Cheers
Kevin
Hi guys,
I wonder if unplug the printer in the following order would make a difference in eliminating the problem.
This is not a workaround or a solution...
But I remember seeing this before where corrupted packets that are being sent to the printer while this is interpreting the data, causes the memory to alt the processing..
But I havent seen this since the old 265 MFD... New stacks are able to detect these packets..
Is there an open ticket to our support with this problem?
I am having the same problem with a new Workcentre 5855. The firmware has been updated to the latest version.
Only 1 of the 5 5855s in our office does this.
Hi Neil,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. If you are only seeing this on PDFs please make sure that you have the Print as Image enabled in Abobe. Here are the instructions to enable.
Enable the "Print as Image" Option Within Adobe Acrobat
From the computer:
For Adobe Acrobat 4.0/5.0:
Adobe Acrobat 6.0 and above:
If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
We get it sometimes too ... somebody tries to print some big nasty PDF, it gets stuck, and nothing prints. Deleting from the print server, from the machine, from the web portal - tried it all. Now the job is stuck in "Decomposing" status. What is it going to take to get rid of the job? I why doesn't anybody at Xerox have a good answer for this?
Same here, Workcentre 7530, very annoying.
Deleting jobs from unit's web page does not help. The jobs are reported as 'deleted', but stays there forever and all other jobs are pending.
Status software does not list active nor completed jobs of the printer, which normally otherwise does.
What is worst, powering the machine off the electricity does not help. The jobs are still 'processing' there when powered on.
Any other hint?
Jan
same problem here , only a POPP helps...
i installed already the latest firmware , used pcl or ps drivers...
keep us posted if you find a fix
My question:
Is there anyway or any tool that would allow me to access the print queue on the Workcentre and delete jobs. Not just from the print driver application, but something at a lower level. Does xerox make an application that would let me do this? Is there anyway to SSH into the computer and tell it to drop all queued jobs?
Background:
About once a week, maybe once every two weeks a job is sent to the copier and is stuck in the processing step on the job status screen. If i delete the job, it remains in the queue processing. I am unable to clear out the job by doing a software reset on the copier, or with a normal restart. The only thing that seems to do the trick is turning the copier off and unplugging it and letting it sit.
Most of the time the jobs that are stuck are PDFs. We are using the newest PostScript driver and the printer is hosted off a Windows Server 2003 print server.
