ColorQube High Volume Finisher - Heaviest paper that will fold in large quantities?

Hi,

Output Media Capability in the Advanced, Professional and
Light Production Finishers:
The DocuColor 242/252/260 can accommodate multiple output options.
The Simple Catch Tray (XE Only) can accommodate up to 500 sheets of
13x19” / SRA3 24 lb. Media. A full tray is not announced by the User
Interface.
The Offsetting Catch Tray (OCT) can accommodate up to 500 sheets
of 13x19” / SRA3 24 lb. Media. A full tray is announced by the User
Interface.
Advanced Finisher
• The Advanced Finisher has two output destinations.
o The Top Tray will handle up to 500 sheets of 8.5”x11” / A4
20lb. paper and can accommodate up to 13x19” / SRA3 24 lb.
size media.
o The Stacker Tray can accommodate up to 3000 sheets of
20lb. paper and can accommodate up to 13x19” / SRA3 24 lb.
size media.
• Hole punch up to 65lb cover, 176gsm available to top & stacker
tray
• Single and dual position stapling of up to 50 sheets of 24lb
Bond/90 gsm available to the Stacker tray.
• Offsetting will not be enabled above 220gsm / 80lb Cover.
Professional Finisher
• The Professional Finisher has three output destinations:
o The Top Tray will handle up to 500 sheets of 8.5”x11” / A4
20lb. paper and can accommodate up to 13x19” / SRA3 24 lb.
size media.
o The Stacker Tray can accommodate up to 1500 sheets of up
to 13x19” / SRA3 24 lb. Media.
o The Booklet Tray can accommodate up to 20 sets (with tray
in “up” position) of up to 15 sheets per set when stapled (set
size limited to 5 sheets when not stapled). Booklet stitching
available with paper sizes of 8.5”x 11”SEF, 8.5”x13”SEF,
8.5”x14”SEF, 9”x11”SEF, 11”X15”SEF, 11”x17”SEF,
12“x18”SEF, 13”x18”SEF. Booklets of up to 15 sheets of
24lb/90gsm or 14 sheets of 20lb/80gsm plus 1 non-coated
cover between 90 – 176 gsm can be created when stapled.
• Right Center Tray output tray will handle up to 1,500 sheets.
• Hole Punch up to 176 gsm available to right top and right center
tray.
• Single and dual position stapling of up to 50 sheets of 24lb
Bond/90 gsm available to the right center tray.
• V – fold of up to 5 sheets.
• Finisher does not perform edge trimming.
• The misregistration fold of a booklet will be less than or equal to
3mm 95% of the time.
Light Production Finisher
• The Light Production Finisher with C/Z folding has 4 output
destinations.
o The Top Tray will handle up to 500 sheets of 8.5”x11” / A4
20lb. paper and can accommodate up to 13x19” / SRA3 24 lb.
size media.
o The Stacker Tray can accommodate up to 1500 sheets of
13x19” / SRA3 24 lb. Media.
o The Booklet Tray can accommodate up to 20 sets (with tray
in “up” position) of up to 15 sheets per set when stapled (set
size limited to 5 sheets when not stapled). Booklet stitching
available with paper sizes of 8.5”x 11”SEF, 8.5”x13”SEF,
8.5”x14”SEF, 9”x11”SEF, 11”X15”SEF, 11”x17”SEF,
12“x18”SEF, 13”x18”SEF. Booklets of up to 15 sheets of

o C/Z folding tray can accommodate up to 40 sheets of 24 lb
(90 gsm) media). Supported Paper sizes are 8.5x11” (A4).

• Single and dual position stapling of up to 70 sheets of 24lb
Bond/90 gsm available to the right center tray.
• V – fold of up to 5 sheets.
• Finisher does not perform edge trimming.
• The misregistration fold of a booklet will be less than or equal to
3mm 95% of the time.
• C/Z folding of media up to 24 lb (90 gsm).
• System must be interrupted to remove paper from the C/Z folding
tray.
• Used to insert pre-printed stock into finished sets w/o having to go
through engine.
• The Light Production Finisher has a standard Interposer unit with
the following specs:
o Tray Capacity: 200 sheets of up to 128gsm
o Paper Weights: 64 to 220gsm (HW2), Tab-1, holed paper.
o Labels, coated media & envelopes are not supported
o Supported Sizes: Letter L, Ledger, A3, A4 L, Legal/ 8.5x12.5/
215x315, B5 S/Exec S, Letter S/ 8x10 S, B5 L/ 8x10 L, Letter
Cover L/ A4 Cover L, 11x15, B4 (1 sheet of up to 220gsm
(HW2), allowed for booklet cover)
Hole Punching Capability
The Advanced, Professional and Light Production Finishers offer Hole Punch
as a standard feature. Hole punching is not available to the Booklet Tray.
The maximum hole punch media weight is up to 176gsm / 65 lb. Cover stock.
Duplex (2-sided) Copying / Printing

Hi Fabio,

I have done so, but all the documents I've gotten have been for the printer itself and not for the Finisher. I feel like they have to be somewhere on the Xerox site!

For instance, this is all I can find on the finisher:

High-Volume Finisher w/ Booklet maker: Booklet maker, Multi-position stapling, Saddle-stitch booklet maker, Single-position stapling, V-folding (optional: 2-hole legal punch, 2-hole punch, 3-hole punch, Hole punch, Post-process inserter), 250+3000-sheet tray

Hi everyone.

I understand that I can make a booklet with 1 heavyweight cover and inside pages of lighter paper...but...

What is the heaviest paper that I can use for the inside pages and still have it fold properly?

I am using the ColorQube 9203 with the high volume finisher and booklet maker. The booklets I'm making are between 20-40 pages (so 5-10 sheets to be folded).  I've found guides for the trays and the printer itself, but I can't find anything definitive on the finisher.
