Connecting B210 to WiFi without a PC

Product Name: Xerox B210
Operating System: Apple iOS
Hi all- is it possible to connect the B210 to a WiFi network without a PC or desktop Mac? We mainly use iPhones and iPads at home and only have access to work PCs who don’t like software to be installed on them.
I chose the printer because of its compatibility with our device options but didn’t realise a PC would be needed to connect to the network in the first place!
Any help appreciated, many thanks.

Re: Connecting B210 to WiFi without a PC

Hi cathhrob

what i understand from you that the printer in the office and  you want to connect the printer to the wifi  from your home and you have access to the work PCS network by your iPhones or iPads !

IF SO then

if the printer is already connected to the work network by wired connection and the work PCs are on the same network then you need to access these PCs from the  iPhones or iPads and from these PCs you need to  access the printer CWIS " the printer web page " by entering the IP Address Which assigned to the printer

IF NO then explain more details please

Re: Connecting B210 to WiFi without a PC

Hi, sorry I haven’t explained it well. I have bought the printer to use at home on my home WiFi network. I want to connect the printer to my home network- I don’t have a home laptop or Mac, only iPads and iPhones. I do have access to a work laptop but can’t install software on to it so as far as I can see I can’t connect the printer to the network. I don’t seem to be able to print directly from iPad/iPhone without it first being connected to the network.

Re: Connecting B210 to WiFi without a PC

Hi Again

ignore my first reply because i understood it in different way ,However we need you laptop only for accessing and configuring the printer and no need to install any software or a driver on it  so what all you need to do is

1- connect your printer to the network  " switch, router " by Ethernet cable .

2- confirm that your network recognizes your printer. By default, the printer receives an IP address from a DHCP server over a TCP/IP network .

3-  you need to print a configuration report to view the new IP address

To Print a aconfiguration report

  1. On the printer control panel, press and hold the red Cancel button for about 4 seconds.
  2. When the Printer Status LED blinks fast, release the button.

4- note the IP Address and go to your laptop and open the web browser "chrome ,Internet Explorer ,Fire Fox ,etc.." and  enter the IP address of the printer address field and then press Enter .

5- click on Click Properties and type the user name" Admin" and the Administrator password "The initial default password is the printer serial number"

click on  Connectivity > Protocols > TCP/IP > Protocol, select Enabled .

For IP Address Resolution select STATIC  and type the ip address, subnet mask ,Default gateway  as it is in the configuration sheet which you print earlier and click Apply.

Now you need to check if the AirPrint Feature which allow you to print from  iPads and iPhones is enabled       " i think  it should be enabeled  by default if not check this document "  Configure AirPrint Using CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS)

After that open a" document,image,etc.. "on your  iPads or iPhones and go to the option and select print then search for your printer .

Re: Connecting B210 to WiFi without a PC

Thank you. When I select STATIC, fill in the boxes and click apply it says “blank input is not allowed” the only blank boxes are IPv6 Domain Name and Secondary DNSv6 Server Address- I do not know what should be in these boxes so I am not able to save the changes.
Will this solution just connect the printer to the network via a cable or is it possible to connect via the WiFi of all the settings are correct?
