I went through LOTS of paper to no avail by sending half sheets through the printer. However, I finally checked avail paper sizes and checked against 5.5 x 8 .5 size and the closest was A6 (5.8 x 8.3). I use WordPerfefect21 and by doing this it has worked for me. The printer (B210) has accepted the half sheets when done in this way.
Yet here: https://www.office.xerox.com/en-us/printers/xerox-b210-printer/specifications
It says it takes sizes from 4.14 x 5.85 in. to 8.5 x 14 in.
And if you read the manual here: https://www.support.xerox.com/en-gb/product/xerox-b210-printer/content/145423
It distinctly tells you how to set custom paper sizes, which are allowed as long as they are between the minimum and maximum specified above. And I did just that, but it still prints as if it is expecting 8.5 x 11.
So at this point I can only assume the driver has been poorly written and doesn really support custom paper sizes, even though the printer does.
Hello techdesign,
I searched the specs for this device and I do not see 6.5" x 9.5" paper size listed here.
I am trying to print a 6.5 inch x 9.5 inch paper with a Xerox B210. This is within the custom paper sizes the printer says it accepts. I put the paper in the tray, set the sliders accordingly.
In my program, I set the paper size and create my document. In the print driver (PCL & PS both) I create the paper size. When I print, the print job comes out as if it is expecting 8.5 x 11 paper.
I have tried setting paper tray 1 to "custom", which is the only size option available, but that doesn't appear to make a difference.
The only time I have had any success is when I am using the Microsoft IPP driver, and then I can print 6.5 x 9.5 from Word, but not a 6.5 x 9.5 PDF, because the driver does not allow adding custom paper sizes.
Any thoughts on how to successfully print a custom paper size with this printer or do I need to return it?
