Re: DC-250 Windows 7 Configure

The printer is too old, the Fiery is a fully java based web page and it won't even load on anything near current versions of java or any current web browser.

You might be able to get on it via an old browser, like firefox3.x (try something like oldversions.com to source it)

I'm not sure 5.2 will work very well either, you might get it to work, but I would actually suggest a 4.x version, but that may be very hard to source.

You may even have to go back to a Java version 6.x or lower to get one with security settings low enough to allow it.

Try removing any CWS version you have then rebooting, then go to Xerox.com and grab the latest 4.6 version, then reboot again. Launch CWS4 and hope Server Configure works (from memory, it will load Java during install, but that is fuzzy as it has been about 8 years since I have seen CWS4.

DC-250 Windows 7 Configure

Jump to solution
Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hi,

we have "new" second hand DC-250 printer in our print shop. I can not figure out how to configure printer settings - folder scan etc. If I add server IP to web browser (explorer or chrome) there is some pop-up window issue with Java or browser version. I am trying to setup via Configure in Command Workstation 5.2 there is some popup with SNMP read and write community. Have no idea what to do with.

Can you help me please?

Thank you so much!

One more question can I user newer verison of Command Workstation or 5.2 only?
