Re: DC12 message: Power on the machine

Are you sure you intalled the correct software on the Fiery?

If you power on the Fiery while holding down the 4th button it should give you a menu. Choose the one that says 'restore backup'. This will reload the software from a hard drive partition.

Re: DC12 message: Power on the machine

Thanks,
i followed all your advises.
I forgot something: the DC12 and the fiery were off during 3 years.
i think that cables and boards are good because when i disconnected cables or i put off the DC12,
the fiery display the message " check alimentation and cables".
when the DC is power on and the cables are connected, the fiery is idle, the fiery LED is green; but the DC12 can't detected the fiery and the DC12 display
the message "the system is ready for the copy. Power on the machine".
When i try to display printer properties, i receiv the message"can't connect to the remote host".
When i try to do a print test, on LPT1 port, i receiv the message" the device is not ready".
when the fiery it idle and his LED is green, when i try to do a print test, the LED becomes red and the fiery display the message " put off the printer
and put it on".
When the DC12 is in hibernation, i can put it on with the commande workstation by using " reboot the server"( it means that cables and boards are good")
Is it a problem because the DC12 and the fiery were off during 3 years?
The DC12 has been reseted after 3 years of inactivity?
There is any way to make it work?

Re: DC12 message: Power on the machine

It uses the two fat cables to communicate with the machine. It sounds like the Fiery is coming up but since it cant communicate with the machine it cant print the sartup sheet. Make sure the Fiery cables are plugged into the correct ports on the DC12. Look at the small picture on the Fiery port then match that to the picture on The DC12 side. Make sure the Fiery and the DC12 are off when doing this. If they are then it could be the cables or the boards that the cables plug into either on the DC12 side or the Fiery side.

Re: DC12 message: Power on the machine

The fiery is power on. All cables are connected. But the DC12 can't communicate with the fiery. I don't know if there is a methode to directly configure the DC.

Re: DC12 message: Power on the machine

Hi sir007,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the solutions for no power and make sure the power is adequate for the machine and that the machine is plugged directly to the wall outlet, no extension cord or surge protector.  If it still fails please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Thanks,
