I found some settings in Fiery Command Workstation to set print resolution from 600DPI to 1200 DPI. That gave me better image print quality. The colors are not as smooth as I would like, but I write that off to the age of the machine and the fact that it was never meant to be a hight quality printer, just a color copier.
Hello Rex_Havoc,
Sounds like you have tried everything already, so it would be a hardware escalation: 1-800-821-2797.
Started this job and all prints were near perfect. Nice saturation. Printing on 80lb gloss text, and 80lb gloss cover.
Halfway through, the blacks began not being solid - very splotchy. Image is plain paper bottom, and coated on top for comparison.
Test on plain paper and the darks are pretty solid - not perfect but we could let it slide.
Replaced all drums. Tech was out, cleaned and inspected transfer belt and developers.
The transfer bellt looks perfect. The plastic sheets on the developers are starting to curl he said - to replace all developer units. OUCH!
Does anyone have any other ideas? I have searched the forums all week and have found nothing remotely close to my issue, let alone for a C60/C70 which I suppose are completely obsolete now...
