Re: Decreasing Time It Takes For Printer To Start Printing Medium-Size Files

I believe your current print speed is determined by the capabilities of you computer (CPU, RAM, HDD, etc). Even if you changed your connection to Wi-Fi or Ethernet, it would still take the same amount of time, especially if you're printing large documents.

bye for now.

Decreasing Time It Takes For Printer To Start Printing Medium-Size Files

Product Name: VersaLink C8000 Color Printer
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

Hello Xerox and fellow Xerox users,

I'm trying to figure out the best route to speed up my printing flow, by decreasing how long it takes the printer to start printing.

I print directly from Photoshop. When I send a job, it's generally around 60mb. It can take around 10 seconds, up to 30 seconds (gets frozen sometimes when the file is almost done sending). If I could get it to be consistently 10 seconds or less, that would be great.

My current connection is via USB 3.0. I've read that Wi-Fi and Ethernet are also options, but I was wondering if they were faster than a hardline USB?

Thanks in advance,
Chris
